MEET ANGELA
Angela Crittenden founded TEAL Interior Design in 2008 following her studies in Interior Design, Art, and Business at Meredith College and the early years of her career in the interiors industry. NCIDQ certified and a member of ASID, Angela brings nearly two decades of experience to residential projects throughout North Carolina and across the country.
Angela’s work is guided not by a signature aesthetic, but by the individuality of each client and home. Whether traditional, transitional, or contemporary, every project begins with an understanding of the architecture, its surroundings, and the people who will live there. The result is an interior that feels layered and collected, with a sense of permanence rather than a moment in time.
At the heart of Angela’s approach is the belief that beautiful rooms should also be deeply livable. She considers not only how a home will look, but how it will be experienced—from everyday routines and family gatherings to entertaining, children, pets, and the inevitable evolution of life within its walls.
This personal and collaborative approach has led to enduring relationships with clients, many of whom have returned to TEAL for subsequent homes and new chapters of their lives.
From her studio in Wilmington, North Carolina, Angela leads the TEAL team on projects throughout the southeast United States, collaborating with clients, architects, builders, and artisans on new construction, renovations, and complete residential and commercial interiors.
MEET ALLEN
A Wilmington native, Allen Lee’s appreciation for architecture and design began early, growing up alongside her father, a custom home builder, and spending time on his job sites. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Industrial Design from NC State’s College of Design before beginning her career in the interiors industry.
Allen brings a discerning eye and an exceptional attention to detail to TEAL, balancing creativity with the practical considerations that bring a project to life. Her approach is rooted in both beauty and function, with an affinity for pattern, color, and the thoughtful mix of old and new.
As Senior Designer + Operations Director, Allen works closely with Angela across every stage of the design process while overseeing the many details that keep TEAL’s projects moving seamlessly from concept through completion.
